Here’s a great article to get you started on your common application. A few more things to keep in mind…
1 – Does your school use Naviance? If so, plan on meeting with your counselor to go over the school’s protocol for letters of recommendations, ordering transcripts etc.
2 – Use the same email for both Naviance and the Common Application when you sync Naviance to your Common Application. (This doesn’t have to be the same email you use to access Naviance, but you will need to put the email you used to set up your Common Application into Naviance. If you don’t it’s a really big issue).
3 – You should always talk to your teacher(s) first before putting them into Naviance or the Common Application as the one who will recommend you.
4 – Most colleges require a school report. This includes a recommendation from your counselor. You should meet with her or him early to go over protocol etc.
